Durability and environmental stability of microcapsule-filled polymer composites with smart-interaction capability
Our Team
The Institute for Mechanics of Materials, University of Latvia (LU MMI, until 2016 Institute of Polymer Mechanics) is well known research institution in the fields of polymers and composites since 1963. The “niche” of LU MMI is wide-scale research in mechanics and materials science with an accent to polymers and composites. The main research activities include: research in the deformation processes and integrity of materials, the design and calculations of composite materials, the applications of composite materials in mechanical engineering and construction, the influence of external environmental factors on material properties, the long-term prediction methods of mechanical properties, and testing methods in the structural studies of materials.
